As we say at our group of concrete companies, “grey is the new green“. Overall, concrete is a very environmentally friendly building material, but it is inevitable that there will be left-over concrete on a job that must be properly disposed of. At our Concrete BC Certified Plant, Vancouver Ready Mix, we have installed a Snubnose Model B Reclaimer to help reduce and eliminate any negative environmental impacts associated with excess concrete returned from our customer projects.
This new reclaimer provides the ability to reclaim up to 1 cubic meter of concrete per minute and separates course aggregate from fine aggregate for re-use in new batches of concrete. Additionally this allows for quick washout for mixer trucks allowing for timely delivery of customer orders while minimizing our environmental footprint.
We are proud to employ best management practices at the Vancouver Ready Mix and Fraserway PreKast facility in Langley, BC. We go above and beyond towards minimizing the environmental impact on our community.
